This Privacy Policy explains how JUST DO IT NOW (“the app”, “we”, “us”) handles your information when you use our app and website at todo.serverkakoulabs.org, including the version distributed through the Microsoft Store. By using the app you agree to this policy.
Information we collect
- Account information — the email address and display name you provide when you create an account, and an encrypted form of your password (we never store your password in plain text).
- Your content — the tasks, projects, reminders, habits, notes, tags, and any files you choose to attach. This content exists only to provide the service to you.
- Technical information — basic, privacy-respecting usage analytics (page views and aggregate activity) collected through our self-hosted analytics, which honors your browser’s “Do Not Track” setting. We do not use advertising trackers.
- Local device storage — we store sign-in tokens and a copy of your app data in your browser/device storage so the app loads quickly and works offline.
How we use your information
- To create and secure your account and let you sign in.
- To store, sync, and display your tasks and other content across your devices.
- To send the optional reminder and weekly-summary emails you enable in settings.
- To understand, in aggregate, how the app is used so we can improve it.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share your content with third parties for their own marketing.
Where your data is stored and how it’s protected
Your account and content are stored on our backend (a PocketBase database) and served through Cloudflare. All data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections. We take reasonable measures to protect your information, though no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
Third-party services
- Cloudflare — website delivery and security.
- Self-hosted analytics (Matomo) — privacy-respecting usage statistics, with Do Not Track honored.
- Content delivery networks (e.g. for fonts and icons) may receive your device’s IP address as part of loading those assets.
Your choices and rights
- Access and export — you can export a full backup of your data at any time from Settings → Backup & Restore.
- Correct or delete — you can edit or delete your tasks and content in the app, and you may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.
- Analytics — enabling “Do Not Track” in your browser opts you out of analytics.
Children’s privacy
The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.
